A new system that is more inclusive might be better.

Perhaps instead of giving them a credit for their work, it should be a system where the student has to bring in an activity that was planned and recorded beforehand.

I’ve worked with several teachers and I’ve had students come in who didn’t get credit for their work. The reason they didn’t get credit was because they did something that was outside the scope of the project.
